STA. RITA HILLS AVA / SANTA YNEZ VALLEY AVA

This is how you do Buellton.

Highway 246 meets the 101 here, which marks the center of our Wine Country. Skip past the gas stations to two of the town's legendary landmarks: an ostrich farm and the famous Hitching Post II steakhouse from “Sideways.” A mile down, at the other end of town, Buellton also has the best casual lunch in wine country at Industrial Eats. Across the street, you can find an eclectic collection of small producers making exceptional wines at Industrial Wine Works. Wear your favorite jeans, no pretense here, have your first glass while you plan. The whole valley is a short drive in any direction, which is why so many people who come back year after year quietly make this their base. From Buellton, you are twelve minutes from the Sta. Rita Hills, ten from Ballard Canyon, fifteen from Los Olivos and five from Solvang.
